This week Fennel Restaurant will be rebranding our famous fudge in support of #maggieskitchentable – it’s the same delicious homemade white chocolate fudge at the same great price but for every tub sold we’ll be donating £1 to maggies and asking our customers to engage on social media with the hashtag #maggieskitchentable
For more insight into the concept and the brilliant work done at Maggie’s centres please read the overview below and share wherever you can! Many thanks,
“The kitchen table is at the heart of every Maggie’s Centre. It’s somewhere for people with cancer and their families and friends to meet others who understand what they are going through, find support or simply sit quietly with a cup of tea.
On Friday 26 February 2016, we’re asking you to help us widen this welcoming feeling by inviting your family, friends and colleagues around your kitchen table in aid of Maggie’s.
Whether it’s a spectacular supper, a gigantic jigsaw, crafting cocktails or holding a book club, it’s time to get together to celebrate, and to have fun and all so that more people in Scotland can get access to the practical, emotional and social support that Maggie’s provides for people with cancer.
Maggie’s is solely funded by donations. It costs £500,000 to run each of its centres annually – meaning Maggie’s has to raise £4 million every year in Scotland alone in order to provide its ground-breaking services.”
